Default Carpet kit options...who's left?

I have been planning to order one of the nice carpet kits from a Porsche upholstery supplier for some time now and was intending to pull the trigger after tax season.

Since I started this train of thought, Pelican Parts' offered carpet kit is no longer manufactured by the company they used. They used Autos international, a San Diego company, and when I contacted them they said the haven't made the kits for a while as they weren't selling enough.

Classic9 (the kits ideola sells) have been discontinued as well for the 944.

So really...what other options do we have for new carpet kits, aside from taking the gamble with ebay TrimParts vendors? Are there any other Porsche specialists in the same price range? I don't want to just find used carpet from another car as the carpet would still be as old as my car, best-case (late carpet does not fit early cars properly)

This is potentially bad news! I as hoping to re-carpet my car, but I'm a ways away yet.

One place I was hoping to look into, but haven't so I don't know if they still make kits for the 944 or not, is: http://appbiz.com/

From my research, I found them to make a light-weight carpet kit I was hoping to put in as part of my Club Sport conversion project some day.

I've been talking to him lately about buying a kit and getting some other things and he told me last night that he's not going to make them anymore.

I cannot really comment on the wear quality because I have not installed them in my car, but I purchased from "ricambi-automobilia" on Ebay recently. Now they messed up on the order and it took a while for them to re-make the products and get them to me, but they did and made the upgrades that I had mentioned initially to my contact, so they stood by what they said they would provide even if there was some correspondence and case started. They look good, I just don't know the wear quality yet, but price was right and in the end I got what I wanted, you just need to communicate well and maybe send color image samples, but they did go the extra mile to make it right.

No Affiliation with them: http://stores.ebay.com/ricambi-autom...&_sid=22733611

There's World Upholstery, I have one of their molded sets not sure how it fits yet. Also have cut and bound sets, have one in Wilton Wool in my Alfa.

They had quiet a selection of materials to choose from so hopefully they're still around, definitely worth a call.

If anyone has some black carpets that go on both sides of the rear seats I'd love to have anything still half-way decent. I have an early car, not sure if those carpets would be different or not, I suspect not. PM if you have something.

Crazy maybe but I purchased new from Porsche mainly 968 carpets but they fit except for the boot (trunk)
rear carpet was $240, fronts $350 sides of the trunk $120 each

Porsche does still list carpet for the late cars, i was looking at a few can can pieces to round out my car instead of a re-dye. Hit the PET and see whats NLA. A full set won't be cheap though.
