Default 944S2 Cabriolet rear seat install

Hi all, I just discovered the rear seat delete threads which lead me to believe I could actually install a rear seat in my cab. So i pulled apart the back floor and found the following picture (first picture)... looks promising

Does anyone have any idea how I could go about installing a seat?

I really like the seat this gentlemen has in his car (second picture) and would like a modern look.

Thanks

what did you have back there? I thought the S2 Cabs had back seats but the 968 cabs did not.

this thread is the first time i have asked the question. I have discovered lots of stuff on ebay I'm looking into further. I live in Australia. So parts are not easy to come by for this.

At this stage I am thinking that i can buy the carpet from one place. the back part from ebay and make the bottom bit... maybe.

If anyone has any pictures of a 944 or 968 cab with a back seat I would love to see it. Would also like to see non cab pictures.

Thanks

The bottom piece will fit. The seat backs will not fit. The cabs have somewhat seat backs but they are about half as tall as a regular seat. Maybe you could have some made as I don't recall having seen any on ebay in quite some time. Or order some from Porsche...

Thanks Aribop. It is a little hard to see from my picture above (and its dark and raining outside now), but just above the white bit is a fold down flap i hope i might be able to replace with something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3978505&rd=1,1

It actually looks like the same hight as the bit i will take out.

or maybe even this:

Any ideas where i can get the carpet from?

You'd need to mount it out of the way of the folded roof so as not to obstruct raising/lowering.

If you look at this last picture and compare it to the ebay seats you'll notice they are very different. The cab one folds in the middle and has no bolsters on the sides of the headrests. The bottoms seem to be identical, however. keep us posted ;D

The second picture's car has a hard top. Aren't the second row seats in a convertable molded to the back interior quarter panels?
I'd just rug over whats bare in the first picture. Back seats are just storage for me.
Love the GT2 bare backseat look. Mabe glue a "944" emblem in the center of the rug for the whole look in the back, haha
