Default BEST PRICED ENGINE REBUILD KITS ? 87 944 2.5

Where can i find the best priced engine rebuild kit? Is there any such thing as a high performance engine rebuild kit. Where you can take a standard 944 2.5 straight factory.and Buy a Kit with everything needed to make it a high performance. My main concern first is just a straight rebuild kit?

Good post - I am going to be in the market for stock rebuild kits for both an early 8v car and an "S" car.

Cheaper, easier and more fun in the long run.

If you're looking to do a full rebuild, yourself, I'd recommend contacting EBS. They're without a doubt the best vendor I've dealt with, with regards to price, service, and knowledge.

Sorry about the accident. I got smacked once on Rt. 7, trying to make the left out of Keeler. Evidently, there's a reason why everyone goes down to the stoplight in front of the Honda dealership to make the left.

KY,
http://www.ebsracing.com/ is the link. I purchased everything for my rebuild from them. I've dealt with all the other vendors that I've seen mentioned, here, and again, they're the best, IMO.

Honestly I still say if you need a motor get a used one, change the rod bearings, freshen the head and replace the gaskets/seals. A performance rebuild will cost about as much as a decent used 944S2 (208 HP) and net you maybe 20 HP if you get a good cam, late pistons and shave the head. The bores last forever on these motors so doing a hone and getting oversized pistons is just a pile of money you'll never see again.
