Default Satin Black Paint Jobs

Has anyone seen a satin black 930? I'm seriously thinking of doing this, the burgandy is a bit much to look at and its not growing on me as anticipated.

The satin black i'm speaking of isn't "primer" but a well finished look as is being seen in many Auto Shows in Eurpoe. I call it a "frosted" look.

Well the whole body is steel and will be perfect...I just hope the over all effect with blacked out wheels, slant nose, limo tint windows and trim with 935 mirrors will look mean as hell.

Wow, not one negative comment! I had already made up my mind after I posted and found the pics of the older 911...I'm calling the shop right now.

I'll post pics of the progress. Thanks all!

Sorry to go against the grain, but I am not a fan of the primer black looking cars in the pictures....

Big fan of the color.

Will be a btch to keep clean (think of the water spots)

Forget this rediculous limo tint business. This is a Porsche not a camaro.

paint it black basecoat, then shoot 2 coats of clear on it, with flattening agent mixed into the clear.

Brian, I think that's what the shop has in mind. I want a more black appearance than in the above pics. We're trying to replicate the look a F430 had. Still trying to find that picture again.

Sand Man, amazing car! I got the pics from Pelican...just looked over there after all this time! Sweet ride and good luck with the sale!

930 LDR...well I want the car to be as dark as possible - just sitting in the parking lot I want it to look oh so sinister and evil

I am more with the you should be able to brush your teeth and shave in the finish crowd. Prefer a very high gloss. the only way I could see a satin finish would be a splinter design camoflauge like wwII german fighter planes. In fact if I ever do a track car I think that will be the color scheme
