The stock wheel in an '85 is about 360mm right? It would be nice to have a little more clearance between thigh and wheel, which is why I was looking at the 340. Does the new hub help this metric at all?
I heard the suede will get smooth from use and not look as pretty after awhile.

Very true. I just bought a suede cleaning kit ( brush and cleaning block) to see if I can get it looking newer. It has been in the car for over 20 years.
Im thinking 340 is to small for a manual steering... 350 is the smallest I would go. Porsche went with a larger wheel for a reason. I think 360-365 would be my preference, but I do love my Protipo...
I just bought a Prototipo earlier today. It's going into the buggy, not the Porsche, as soon as I machine up some sort of adapter. Summer time project for sure.
