Oil cooler lines
Well I figured since it rainy out today I would tackle the oil lines attached to the oil cooler to get at the seals.
Not happening today I dont have a 27mm and a 32mm wrench for this job.
Maybe Ill try a small pipe wrench or adjustable (I have those).
Any suggestions..

Ok got lines off NO SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED save your money.
used a big adjustable wrench and a pipe
Front oil line can be loosened From underneath car.
This is a Turbo 944 so oil cooler is actually External at front of car.
Am I correct?
So basically what Im seeing is one oil line and one coolant line attached to this housing??

nice weekend project.
if they havent' been done, it is also a good idea to add the fuel lines to your 20+ year old 944 to-do list.

Good looking out but I'm still trying to understand if both lines attached to oil filter housing are oil or oil and coolant cuz the line that is closest to oil filter is full or coolant lol

So would is there a possibility of o ring failure causeing coolant in oil on a turbo 944...
With housing off if I add coolant in resivior it start to come outof where houing was monted.
So that leads me to believe its possible thanks for you time

Correct, coolant and oil can mix within the oil filter housing on any of the 944 series cars when the seals/o-rings fail. If you are mixing coolant and oil, you need to replace the housing/cooler seal kit.

On your turbo the oil cooler is external and air cooled, but the seals are still inside the housing and perform the same function. If the seals go na or turbo you will get coolant in your oil.
Hope that makes sense. GL
