PorscheL.A.’s Porsche-Inspired Restaurant 917 Lets You Dine with the Sights and Sounds of Stuttgart in the Background

When you think of unique restaurants, especially here in the Los Angeles area, there are more than a few options that will appeal to most anyone’s personal tastes. And now comes something even more special that has car enthusiasts and foodies alike swooning: SoCal’s Restaurant 917, a hot new Porsche-themed restaurant located inside the Porsche Experience Center (PEC). The Carson, California-based venue is also home to the car company’s newest driving school and showroom, allowing Porsche fans to drive one or multiple vehicles in the lineup with professional driving instructors.

Restaurant 917, which, of course, takes its name (and interior design inspiration) from the legendary Porsche 917 race car, is undoubtedly a cool culinary experience. And the good news is that you don’t need to have tickets to one of the venue’s events to dine at the restaurant. In fact, you can make a lunch reservation on OpenTable right now. The cuisine includes staples like burgers and flat iron steak, along with craft cocktails inspired by classic and contemporary Porsches. But you don’t care about that. What you care about is that the second-floor restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the PEC’s driver development track, providing your eyes and ears with some magic as well. Plus, perhaps the most important thing to note: The butter is shaped like a 911. What could possibly be better than that?
