Racing Yellow

The striking hue of the Racing Yellow paint color is always associated with on-track performance. And there's no automotive brand in history more synonymous with track-focused road cars than Porsche. Formerly known as Speed Yellow, the color was rebranded after 2012. Regardless of the name, any Porsche sporting this finish is a sure-fire head-turner.

Miami Blue

Another iconic vibrant color for Porsche cars, Miami Blue also happens to be this writer's favorite of the bunch. This beautiful blue is somehow simultaneously in your face and understated. It was originally offered only for the 911, but has since made its way onto other models due to its unsurprising popularity.

Guards Red

It's only natural that mighty sports cars like Porsches would be ordered with a shade of red as the exterior paint color. But Guards red isn't your average red. The depth in this particular paint is perfect for showing off the subtle surface changes of Porsches of every generation. The fact that it's been among the most popular Porsche hues since the 930 is a testament to that.

Lava Orange

Perhaps one of, if not the most nuanced and deep paint color Porsche has offered, Lava Orange shows off a lot of different aspects of its personality in various lighting scenarios. It can appear like a flat light orange in the dark, while in direct sunlight, it shines with a deep reddish orange. This gorgeous hue is what brought orange back to the Porsche lineup after a near 2-decade hiatus.

Crayon/Chalk

While every other color on this list shines bright with vibrant hues, this particular all-time great color is about as flat as automotive paint gets. In theory, that's quite an uninspiring finish for sports cars with such brash character. But Crayon is anything but boring. While Miami Blue is a double shot of tequila, Crayon is a fine champagne. Despite being a shade of gray, Crayon still draws onlookers in. Plus, it does a great job of showcasing any Porsche's flawless lines.
