2024 Porsche Cayenne Ushers In New Digital Interior Era
The recent reveal of the 2024 Porsche Cayenne interior reveals one massive change.
New Era
Porsche is famous for a lot of things, ranging from its unique styling cues to impressive performance and incredible driving dynamics. One other feature that we commonly associate with Porsche (and have for a very long time) is a large, analog gauge present smack in the middle of the driver's view, giving them the information that's important to driving in a sporty nature. However, the forthcoming 2024 Cayenne seemingly ushers in a totally new era with the introduction of a digital instrument cluster.

Taycan Influence
This look is nothing new for anyone who's seen the Taycan since its launch, but for an ICE-powered Porsche, it's a major change. In fact, we can spot a ton of Taycan influence here, from the screen designs to the grab handles, but there is one big difference - the crossover utilizes physical controls in the center console rather than a screen.

Driver Focused
Regardless, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne's interior remains focused on the driver, as has long been the case, with most driving-related controls present on the steering wheel, along with the shifter, which has been relocated to the right side of the dash and the start button on the left. If the steering wheel looks familiar, that's because it's based on the 911, albeit with a wide variety of controls close at hand.

Multiple Screens
The big news, of course, is the new curved 12.6-inch digital display present behind that steering wheel, joining the optional 10.9-inch passenger display and 12.3-inch central touchscreen, which handles infotainment. While there are plenty of things that can be controlled via these two new screens, however, the new Cayenne does retain physical controls for the HVAC system and audio volume.

Coming Soon
Overall, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne brings about some big changes inside the cabin, but those will likely trickle down to other models in the near future, too. As for what to expect from the rest of the new Cayenne, well, we'll have to wait until April 18, when the model will officially debut at Auto Shanghai.
