Old ones out of the car... drivers was on the left. Look at the crack on the bottom of the drivers. You can compare to passengers, on the right -- no crack.

The 8mm triple square bolt. Same as the axle bolts on my 944 Turbo, so I had the tool on hand.

One of these rubber buffers between the door and door panel fell out and was broken/cracked when I removed my drivers door panel - will replace next time I order parts. Probably important

New (-01) and old (-00) parts look absolutely identical to me, I wonder if the friction material is different. Both also say that they are made in Czech Republic btw.

If you attempt to drag your headliner across while this is exposed, you will rip your headliner (how do I know this -- luckily it was the old one as I was removing it. Then I covered this with a tennis ball with a towel over it.

The B-pillar clips that are hugely problematic on 991.1. Note on 991.2 they changed this, on 991.2 you remove the plastic SRS/airbag plate, and simply unscrews. I think it's easier on 991.2 in other words.

Headliner down and resting on console up front per the WSM. Worked out better when front edge was ** in front ** of shifter. NOTE: I stopped at this point. I did not get pics of my covering up the headliner with the sheets, bending it with ratchet straps, and rotating it out the front door. But that's what I did and it worked well.

This is probably the area that ** WILL ** get damaged if you don't cover it up. I put a few layers of towels on here, taped well. Note if you don't tape things down, while you move the headliner out, all the towels or protection will shift.
