The splitter follows the general curve of the turbo S splitter mounted just above it.

The supports are Longacre pieces, with one of their large washers inside the front cover.

Up front the supports use the large washers you'll see on the plywood panel in the passenger footwell in a stock car: I had a few of those in a bin.

Detail of the opening in the support. 16 ga steel, dimpled with a die, sanded so the inside dimension matched the aluminum support thickness, then TIG'd together. The edges have a piece of 1/8" steel spacer TIG'd in place.

This is a casting number for the 968 turbo heads.

This is the 968 turbo S intake port--looks just like a 951 head, but look at the valve stem.

Valve stems for the 968 turbo heads are 7 mm, so the guides and associated spring hardware are specific to these heads. And there is an additional water cooling passage between the two springs.

And this is the picture Chris Cervelli sent me when I purchased this head years ago--it's not in my possession right now or I would take some other photos.

This is an unmodified, bare head. You can see the ceramic around the casting on the exhaust side, and the 7 mm valve guides.

A good view of the valve spring pockets and valve guides. This also shows the additional cooling passage, which you can see is adjacent to the exhaust port.

Intake ports are identical to the 951 head.

But, exhaust ports are small. 6 mm smaller if I recall correctly. Sized to restrict the engine's output.
