This photo shows two things. Oil is running down the back of the engine right where the bell housing connects. It also is pooled on the bottom of the #4 header

This is just more of the manifold flange. Any darker or shinier spots are oil marks

This is looking up towards the cam tower gasket area. I am pretty confused as I had thought that having replaced both the bolts and the gasket that it would not leak here but this is slightly contrary to that. You can also see oil puddled on the bottom of the #4 exhaust header

This is some (I think) oil on the crossmemeber. I also did have a massive power steering leak so this could just be residual of that

Here is the “oil cassette” as I have heard it called. It’s the thing with the oil filter and the oil pressure sender in it. When I tell you that sender is caked in oil I mean it is CAKED in oil.

Lower balance shaft housing. Looks to be some oil in the bottom back corner of it, but I think this might be drainage from higher on the engine

Here is the primary source of any premature balding I may get. This is the outlet flange from the wastegate. I think the picture is high enough quality that you may notice that the holes where the studs are supposed to go through the flange are completely filled in with rust.

This is the inlet side of the wastegate. This doesnt really highlight anything specifically, just shows a general view of the rusty mess I am dealing with.

Another picture of the outlet flange of the wastegate. It has this weird part that mounts to the torque tube, and blocks the allen head bolts that hold the wastegate mount on. I am worried if I sawzall the pipes off then I wont have anymore leverage to get this flange off and then I will not be able to get the wastegate off due to it blocking the allen heads.

Here are the flanges where they meet the wastegate. The inlet flange has a small gap because of all of the hammering and chiseling I have done to it, but the wastegate is still mounted in place so it cant come out. You can see the corner where I was chiseling the outlet flange to no avail.
