Hoosier failure...age or something else?
Long story short I had a set of used Hoosiers with unknown use, but seemed a lot of tread. Stored them for another year and used them a couple of events. At least 3 years old total but stored above freezing and never mounted or driven in cold weather.
They still appeared to have decent tread depth as indicated by the little tread wear holes.
I felt a vibration at speed and when I came in to check, both inside rear sidewalks were ripped to wires poking out, one about 1/4-1/3 around.
I have some camber but not race settings, street weight 993 with MCS suspension at the Glen on warm but not hot days. I was running 38 hot pressure.
Age? Pressure? Something wrong with suspension settings?

Age IMO. 3 plus years old is best guess. Could be 5. Can you find any markings on tire to determine age? What does Hoosier recommend? With G loads high, maybe 1-2 yrs is all you get. And what if previous owner stores below freezing?
