How easy is it to fix slight curb rash on vintage Fuchs?
Hi all,
I have an extra set of vintage 15" Fuchs that I will be using sometimes instead of the 16" Fuchs on my 911. They are in nearly PERFECT condition (almost as new from the original, completely straight, etc.) except for just a little bit of curb rash on them. I don't want to get them completely refinished because they are almost perfect otherwise, and are the original finish. Is it possible to get the curb rash fixed without having to refinish the entire wheel, and make it look as close to perfect as possible? If so, do you have recommendations in the SoCal area (Los Angeles/Santa Monica) that would do a good job? I know about Al Reed, have used him in the past to refinish my other Fuchs, but it's a long drive and would like to find a place in the immediate L.A. vicinity, if this can even be done well without a full refinish.
Thanks for your advice!
