Default Would I be okay using three years old RE-11s?

I have a set of RE-11 tires sitting in my garage for three years and I am debating myself if I can still use them or not. These tires were new purchased from Tirerack and put about 5,000 miles on them.

Can anyone advise me?

Thanks in advance!

For street or track? I would think ok for street, track depends I have used good Hoosiers that were made in 012 for practice, there are products out there you can apply to soften the old rubber and still use them.

For track use. I was thinking about using these with my track wheel. Just wanted to see if these will work well at the track.

RE-11s are a decent street/track tire.

Are you running a street stock class or a prepared class?
If a street class, you can't run race tires

I would not be afraid to drive them for street use. If they have not been severely heat cycled in the 5k miles you have on them, they are likely fine. I would inspect for any cracking first, and once installed be careful initially to gauge tire durometer.

If used for the track be very easy on them initially to make sure they have not heat cycled out.
