2004 GT3. Track/Street tires
Recently purchased track car with competition suspension set up but want to be able to drive car about 50 miles to and from the track. What is the latest recommendation to this and not be stranded at the track if it rains?

Make sure the tires you buy are legal for your class in whatever racing series you want to run; a lot are switching to minimum 200TW.
Hankook R-S3 used to be the go-to recommendation for track tires, but the v2 reportedly get greasy with heat. I'd recommend BFG Rival as they give great grip with good heat tolerance, but they require a certain driving style and setup; as many people I've heard that love them there's someone else that hates 'em. ZII Star Spec just came out last month; supposed to be great cool grip, but no word yet as to how it does on the track.

Thanks for the info. The car had NTO1's when I bought it and the last owner said he hated them. I just put Toyo 008R's on and ran it today for the first time. Seemed OK, but not great.
