Don't have a trailer yet and with four kids (three of them with four legs) it is hard to stay overnight. Have Yokohama's now.

Karen,
If you are looking for a tire that you will keep on a track dedicated set of wheels and that you want to drive to and from the track on and get reasonable performance and longevity in use - I was very happy with Michelin Pilot Sport cups. Lots of folks have been happy with the Nitto NT-01 (I wasn't happy with them and had a couple flat tires, so scrapped that idea and went back to the MPSCs).
Lots of other options depending on your desires. Typically the longer the tire will last the more compromised they are for performance. It also depends on your tire sizes, what will work for you. There are a million posts on the Racing board about track tires.
Enjoy the reading.

I really like NT01 but they are a very noisy tire, you won't car on track but on the street they can be intrusive, MPSC were a very good dual purpose tire(not so good when really cold or in wet) as are Toyo RA1

Karen,
I did two full DE seasons ... 60 + heat cyles with a set of Nitto NT01's and they still have thread on them, although they most likely have hardened by now, they're a great value for the dollar and a great step between street and "S" compounds !
Cheers

Toyo R888's are a great choice for driving to the track and if it rains you have a wet weather R comp tire also.

I am truly considering slicks - I'll have to check in with the speed demons on the Racing Forum for their thoughts...........

If you are driving to-and-from events, look into the Yoko AD08's and AD08R's.

Well, slicks are out unless I can adjust the cambers while I am at the track - I will have to ask Jeff at the tech session.
