Question Wiring SmarTire & Heat Cycling street tires

Hi all,
It's been awhile. I need some advice. I recently put new 8.5"&11" SuperCups on my '98 C2S and ruined two tires within 6 weeks of each other due to my ignorance or not knowing I had reduced tire pressures soon enough to prevent tire damage. No wheel damage thank heaven!

Subsequently, I purchased a SmarTire sensor system (3rd Generation with remote display (allows programming of system) and a new set of street tires Yoko AVS in 235x35ZR-18 & 295x40ZR-18s. My Discount Tire rep did a fine job in mounting all tires and installing the sensors properly into each wheel/tire.

The system works well enough, but I now need to custom install the electronics. Has anyone else done this? I use my cigar lighter for my Valentine1. I need this SmarTire system "keyed" to the ignition circuit. I'm capable, but don't know to what fuse or circuit to share this 2amp circuit.

I lifted the fuse/relay rack from it's tray, but wasn't comfortable with my limited knowledge of connecting accessories to my Porsche. Also, where is the best place to mount the receiver (sometimes it takes a long time for the left tires to register on the display) and display. I'd like the receiver under the front bonnet and the display mounted vertically next to the steering column if possible. I've read the glovebox is a good place for the display but you cannot hear the alarm.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. Otherwise I must pay a Porsche shop or electronics specialty installer to wire it for me.

Next question:
Does it make any sense to heat cycle street tires?
Is there any lasting benefit, such as longer life/mileage? Thanks, ChrisK
