Advice on Tire Choice Please
I have a '88 911 Targa Turbo-Look and need new tires. Currently running Dunlop SP Sports 205/55 VR16 front, and 245/45 VR16 rear. I've heard that Bridgestones S02 or 3 are a good choice, but would appreciate some advice. I'm looking for good grip and reasonable wear. All advice appreciated
Thanks

bridgestone RE730 gen 2 or the Kuhmo ecsta 712. I had the RE730 on my 16" wheels and They wore well and gripped great, esp considering the price. My new 17" wheels will have the kuhmos b/c I have seen great reviews of them and they are priced right also.

Take a look at the Tire Rack web site at www.tirerack.com for consumer comments on various tires, including the Bridgestone's. You can also read an article in Christophorus on the Porsche web site, March/April issue as I recall, on tire testing and those approved for MY2002. This will let you know what is current state of the art for current model Porsches.

Check the last issue of Grass Roots Motorsports for a comprehensive review of some street performance tires.
