Largest tire on 10" rim?
What's the largest (widest)tire you can fit on a 10" wide rim without bulging? 285, 295? I don't think a 315 will fit, will it? Probably need an 11" for that...
Thanks in advance.

Is it 17" or 18" wheels? The taller sidewalls of the 17" wheels would better tolerate squeezing and pinching, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the maximum performance out of the tire. Here are some sample tire/wheel combos:
- Ferrari Testarossa 255mm tire on 10" rim
- Ferrari 288GTO 255mm tire on 10" rim
- Corvette 275mm on 9.5" rim 315mm on 11" rim
- Ferrari F40 345mm tire on 13" rim
- Viper 335mm tire on 13" rim

Thanks. These are 18"'s. My car has 18x11's on it with 295's, but for racing rims, I was thinking of going with a 18x10 (since they are cheaper), but the largest Ecsta V700 is 285.....there is a 315 but I didn't think it would fit on the rim.

Mike,
Your 285 application should be good on the 10" rim. The '96 Corvette Grand Sports and LT-4 optioned Collector Editions came with 285's on 9.5" rims (17" diameter). I run 285's on all four wheels (9.5" X 17") Yoko AVS Sports on my '96 C4 Corvette Convertible with no problems.
Keep the revs up,

Silver:
I have 18x10 (CCW - three piece)and 285/30/18 on all four corners of my 951 (race car)
I could easily go to 11" on the rear. (my rear fenders are rolled) <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
