Question How do you identify Solid vs Hollow turbo wheels

I am buying a used car and the owner is claiming to have turbo-like hollow wheels. How can I tell if these wheels are hollow or solid? I read a post that said the solid wheels will have ridges behind each spoke and the smooth stems are hollow. The solid wheels will have a plastic stem valve and the hollow will have metal stem valves. The owners is claiming the opposite, that ridge = hollow wheels.

Anyone out there know the answer?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

the answer lies in back part of the spoke(facing the car). True hollow spoke rims are entirely flat with no intentations. Next time take a look at some 996 or 986's with turbo look rims. Feel the spoke from behind Youll feel two valleys and one long hill. Now the real turbo hollow spoke will be completely flat with no indentations.

Goobu:

Further to the point, here are the details on the Turbo Technology (hollow spoke wheels). Note - real "hollow spoke" wheels have screw in valve stems not press-in rubber stems.

Turbo (Technology):

7.5Jx18 - WO50 - 18.95 lb - 993.362.134.05 (front)
8Jx18 - WO52 - 19.95 lb - 993.362.136.00 (front)
10Jx18 - WO65 - 23.36 lb - 993.362.140.01 "A" (rear)

The steel valve stem 993.361.073.00 (required)
