Fuchs question/ winter tires
Just because I have them laying around...
Could a set of early 912 vintage 14" Fuchs be used to mount snow tires on a 84 Carrera? use 185/14/70s or something to match? think it would clear the calipers?
Or just scrap the idea?

No one with an answer yet, huh? Well, I say bolt one on and spin it around. It'll either clear or it won't. I took my old 15" phonedials and mounted a set of used Blizzaks. The car will climb trees in the winter now. Not quite a WRX, but certainly safe winter transport.

So putting a crappy set of snow tires on 14" rims on a 84 Carrera doesn't make for the most interesting post eh? I was almost embarassed to ask!
So I'll give this a shot next fall, 195/70/14" calcs out to 24.74", close enough to the 225/50/16 24.85" on my ZR Dunlops. The lugnuts will probably cost more than the tires....
Cheers all,
