Will D90 wheels from a 90-92 944 fit an 87 944T?

Yes the offsets are the same as the 1987 944s, 52.3mm front and rear. Yes they fit and yes they look quite good. Design 90 wheels were an option on the very last 944s sold here in Europe.
Yes they are lighter than phone dials. I have spare sets of both if you want to make the trip over to visit and compare.
The design 90 wheels from the 964 are 6JX16 front and 8JX16 rear.

I have Design 90's that are 8x16 52mm from rear of C4 and 9x16 53mm from rear of 928GT and they fit fine with 245x45/16's all the way around on my 87 951.
I have also had 255x50/16's all the way around with only slight rubbing on the front on hard cornering, but they were on my 8.5x16 and 9.5x16 3pc OZ rims.
BTW my 87 951 has been lowered from stock height by about an inch also.
I don't think you will have a problems. Both of these rims are for sale in the classifed section under wheels.
