Post 964 RS tyres

Any advice on the best tyres to use on the 'ring? The car came with a bunch of race tyres, but street tyres are required at the 'ring.

Thanks a million,

Ed

Do you have any street legal track tires (in the States, we call them DOT-R tires) like Kumho Victoracers or the like? That would be ideal.

If it is only for the Nurburgring, then the Pirelli P Zero Corsa is your best choice.
But don't expect them to last 10K miles.

Are "R" rated tires, which are considered street tires by the US Dept of Transportation, considered street tires in Europe? If so, that would be a prime choice. If tread is important, wonder if the Yoko A032R would work?

The DOT-R type tyres in UK include Dunlop Formula R D01J, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, Pirelli P Zero Corsa. All are 'sticky' compound, grip better than normal road tyres but need warming up before gripping well, all need care in the wet. Good 911 road tyres include Bridgestone S02, S02A. Have had Toyo Proxes T1S road tyres recommended. Never driven the 'ring, do drive a 964RSL.

Thanks guys. I'm sort of torn between the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup and Pirelli P Zero Corsa at the moment. Sort of leaning in the Michelin direction as the race tyres that came with the car were all Michelins. Not that that makes any sense...
