'82 widebody 911.

I currently have 16" Fuchs with 225 front and 245 rear. I think the fronts are a bit too wide for the rim and they look kinda funny, though you can't see it too well with the pics I have.

I'm not sure how large I can go or what the offset should be.

Whoa!

PLEASE move that rear wheel (seven inch?) to the front! Put the 225 on it. You can go as wide as a factory 9 in Fuch on the front, and still use a 225 or 245 on it.

Now for the rear, get some 9 x 16 Fuchs (copies even) and go with a 245 or 255 or on up to a 275. Whatever fits your budget or style. The rear on a wide body can except an 11 inch rim or more!

So, to summarize. At least go w/ 7's in front, 9's in back.

Go with four 9's if you want, and just use less rubber on the front units. I know guys that run 9's in the back, and 8's in front, on slim body Carreras.

Ok, I think I'm going to splurge and go with 9s in the front and 11s in the rear, I'm glad to hear the 11 will fit. I don't really like the look of the Fuchs anyway.

Can anyone suggest any good places to shop for rims? The tirerack has a cruddy selection.

If RH wheels are to your liking (Gemballa style), then go to www.imagineauto.com. Great prices, list sponsor.

If ROH wheels will do, then check out jdwheels.com

No affiliation, but a nice website, and only Porsche wheels!

I like those Simmons OM wheels on the JDH wheels website... I think you can also find them here: http://www.groupawheels.com

Depending on your goals and wallet, the lightweight wheels from Fikse (www.fikse.com) and Kinesis (www.kinesismotorsport.com) are popular.
