Tire compound "H" ?

It's always been my understanding that "H" rated tires were essentially for street/highway use and conservative driving? They're also longer lasting since they're harder.
Sportier ratings are V and Z, but last considerably less due to their softness.

Luis, Thx! I did a fitting of the new wheels Sunday and took it for a spin (it was 64! here)and the ride is a bit harsher but livable. You can really notice how hard these Yoko's are! I thought after they warmed up that they would be stickier or softer causing them to wear faster so that's the basis of the question. Got them for the track but was curious how that compound faired on street usage. Thx again! D

Fine for light street duty...
Ideal tire for aggressive track work when you don't want to change tires for the drive home.
Many guys around here run these as their only tires for cars that see some street duty, but are mostly track cars.
