Default Tire Size Help for 20-inch SUV Rims

Guys,

I have an SUV with 20" wheels and an OEM tire size of 255/50R20. We love the SUV, but are really struggling with finding the proper snow tires.

Can I run "245/50R20" on my 20 inch wheels?

I know that these tires will be a bit more narrow (that is good in snow), and the diameter of the wheel + tire will be .4 inches less than the OEM size. The circumference will be 1.3 inches less as well. Of course, this will affect my speedometer readout by a few mph - but I am okay with that trade off.

What would you guys do?

Thanks!
-Blake

should be fine, usually the width of the tire is able to fit on a range of wheel widths. go for it, the speedo will be fast, at 60, you will be doing 59.2 mph
