I have set of anodized and shotpeened CCWs that I would like to refinish for track use.
(dealer used acid on the wheels and improperly rinsed them leaving discolored drip stains.)
How would you refinish them? What is easiest and most effective?
Paint?
Powder coat?
Re-anodized?

Two cans of Duplicolor wheel coating in graphite color to the rescue.
Had washed the dirty track wheels with P21S and dried overnight.
No primer... 2-3 LIGHT coats the first night. Always started with the crevices and hard to reach areas. Another 2-3 LIGHT coats the day after. That's it. No clear coat, as I prefer to retain the original low gloss finish of the shotpeened surface.
Wheels turned out VERY nice for a 20$ rattle can job done in my office work clothes!
Pics to come soon. Followup on how well the paint holds up in 10 months or so!

Interesting, I have a set of track wheels that I was thinking about refinishing professionally. I might give this a try instead. Interested in seeing them after a few track sessions.
