NT01 -- correct size for front of 911 SC w/17's
I'm buying a set of NT01's for my SC. I have a set of 17x7 & 17x9 Fikses with RA1's currently mounted on the car. Will the 225/45/17s fit the front without rubbing, or should I go with the 215/45/17s? Any experienced help would be greatly appreciated.

htron435, the better combination would be the 225 front. A 225/255 rear is a pretty standard track setup for DE. Racers manage to get more rubber in their fender wells with a lot of work. A 215 might be a little too small. As far as rubbing a lot has to do with your offsets of the wheel, widths and camber. A good friend of mine who runs a fully prepped 3.2 has the 17" 225/255 combination. He had to slightly roll the fender lips and I believe is running 2.8-9 camber. He has only slight rubbing on the inside if turning the wheel fully locked.
Hope this helps,
Dan

Thanks guys. I think I'll go with the 225's. My fenders are already rolled for the 205s on there now, so a little more massaging (if needed) should be no big deal.

No. I will be at the Glen in late June with Potomac though. These days I spend the majority of my few track weekends racing with NASA Great Lakes in Spec Miata, so the 911 doesn't see the track as often as it used to (a shame, but kids and the economy will do that). The car has lots of goodies, not the least of which is a torquey 3.6. Lots of fun! Look me up if you end up attending. Thanks again for the help.

I'm running 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 on 17 inch 7.5 and 9 inch FM10's on my 89 911 with no issues ...
