I'm having trouble finding a good set of tires for a set of staggered wheels. The specs are: 17 inch diameter, 8.0 inch fronts, 9.5 inch rears.
Any suggestions?

Mike, what do you mean by "good tires"? Is there a tire model you're looking for that would give us an idea of where your tire preference lies? I presume this if for your 951?

A random example of a good and sticky tire for that setup.....
Rolling diameters are OEM or very close.
Rear - Bridgestome RE11 in 255/40R17
Front - Bridgestome RE11 in 235/45R17

Yes, this is for the 951. I guess I meant to say I'm having trouble finding a set in one brand that is not an unknown manufacturer. I like Dunlop, Continental, Michelin and Bridgestone, but want to stay away from General, Federal, Fierce, etc.
Thanks for the suggestion on the Bridgestones. My only concern was that a 255 would be a little narrow for a 9.5 inch wheel, but I suppose that also depends on the manufacturer.
Since posting, I found a set of Dunlops (Direzza DZ101) in 265/40/17 and 235/45/17 for a close to stock diameter of 25.3". That size should fit nicely, and while I've never had the Direzzas before, my previous experience with Dunlop has been positive.

Previously used 235/45 & 275/40 Dunlop SP9000 on the same wheels.
235/45 & 265/40 also a good choice
The newer BS RE-11 & Yok AD08 might have a tad more grip

Agreed Bill, the last 2 tires will have notably more grip than the Dunlops. I haven't tried the D1, but haven't heard rave reviews on it either, but the SP9000 (good tire that it is) isn't comparable to the BS or Yoko. All depends on whether your looking for max grip or a little more focus on mileage I think.
On the subject of Dunlop... what's with them? They are a premier tire manufacturer and yet just plain fail to offer a DOT R tire in the US, or even a PS2 or Corsa type of tire. Not that I've seen anyway for the last several years. I would think that Dunlop should be tossed in the same conversation and debates over the top 3 other players in the market, and yet they don't play in the max performance space?!

I had P-Zero on a 2006 C55, good grip but low milieage. Now I have Direzza and still have a good grip and good riding. Today call my local shop and ordered a set of Direzza for the 2008 C2S for the next tire change.
