Default BBS CH-R available for Porsche spring 2010!

You heard it here first!

The most recent aftermarket wheel from BBS is packed with technology and styling directly from our Motorsports department. Featuring a true “BBS” racing design that has backmilled spokes just like our successful racing products. The CH-R wheel also utilizes a stainless steel rim protector and the “Motorsports” lettering is laser etched to complete the look of this performance wheel.

The CH-R is a pressure cast wheel and the rim is created using our flow-forming process to deliver a wheel that has an excellent stiffness to weight ratio and is a tremendous value. The BBS “Cast and flow-formed” technology has been used as original equipment on some of the worlds finest performance vehicles from manufacturers like BMW, Ferrari and Porsche, just to name a few. Our “Cast and flow-formed” technology is not limited to road cars, this technology has also been used for several factory built race programs from Ferrari and BMW. Initial specs and offerings will be:

19X8.5 5-130 ET51 ~24.9 lbs.
19X9 5-130 ET53 ~ 24.5 lbs.
19X10 5-130 ET38 ~ unspecified by BBS
19X11 5-130 ET56 ~ unspecified by BBS
19X12 5-130 ET45 ~ 28.3 lbs.

Made in Germany and available approx. April 2010 in silver or black finish with stainless lip. A BBS first, the wheels will be made to accept Porsche centercaps.

The part numbers are built, so PM me for competitive pricing you have not seen from BBS in the past!

Just an FYI, I have these inbound for next week in black. Silver is not far behind.

Not many are coming in initially, so give me a call to pre-order your set today!

Don't know for sure, but I know in this wheel's case it took quite awhile to get Porsche to allow them to be cast to take the P-car cap.

And no, I can't for the life of me understand why they will not (at least for now) be offering these in an 18" fitment.

Not sure why they are saying 20" only, because I am looking at 19!"

Present prices, black or silver, are

19X8.5 5-130 ET51 $660.00
19X9 5-130 ET53 $660.00
19X10 5-130 ET38 $670.00
19X11 5-130 ET56 $680.00
19X12 5-130 ET45 $690.00

By the way, BBS is not doing the laser etching on the Porsche fitments. Presumably because with the Porsche cap so close to it they may be a bit cluttered. Not sure....anyway, this is what the finished wheels look like:

So they will not have "MOTORSPORTS" engraved on the wheel? That sucks! That was what I liked about them and the only reason I'd buy them over the RS-GT.

Confused since the first pic in post #1 shows it.

Update. There are a few pictures of the wheels floating around with the Motorsport etching on them.

Here's the scoop.

BBS ordered all of the Porsche wheels for the US market without the laser etching… Germany sells the Porsche wheels in their market WITH the “Motorsport” etching.

The bigger than usual 5x130 bolt circle does not provide much room between the lug opening and the spoke area. The OE cap looks much nicer in the wheel without the etching. So, If any Porsche wheels in the US market have the writing on them, they were not purchased from BBS of America...

Here is a picture with, that a customer sent me:

And here is another without, provided to me by BBS USA:

The wheels are in at this time in almost all sizes and in silver or black. Please contact me if interested!
