Default Can anyone identify these wheels?

I'm considering buying this set of wheels from a local seller, and I'm trying to figure out what they are. Can any of you guys identify these as a common porsche wheel? It's fitted on a 964, but I think the size and offset is actually close enough to work on my Cayman S. I want to make sure they're not some cheapo replica wheels that won't hold up to track abuse. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
Todd

Those wheels are BSA type 215. The ones you have are 8x18ET48 and 10x18ET40. I had the same wheels on my 996 (sold), and now I have the same on my 993, but with black center spokes, and ET60 on the rears. I love the wheels, they are light weight and strong.

Wow you are good. How can you tell the sizes and offsets by looking at them??? The good news is, I think those will definitely fit my Cayman S. Do you have any idea if they're forged or cast aluminum? You think they're sufficient for track use?

The BSA wheels are cast aluminum, not forged (unfortunately...). And the ET40 rears will fit your Cayman, but you might roll the fender inside lip, depending on ride height (I have done that on my previous 996 and my 993, using a base ball bat). I did around 30 track days (DE white group) with my 996 and the BSA wheels, and have done around 20 with my 993. The new owner of the 996 is still using the BSA wheels for DE and club race, with no issues.
