What say thee? Best winter tires for AWD application?

Well, you weren't exactly forthcoming about what size you need, but assuming you're trying to approximate the 265/35-19 stockers, how about 245/45-18? The new Nokian WR G2 comes in that size: http://www.nokiantyres.com/tyre?id=1...kian%20WR%20G2 A bit larger diameter, but no big deal for winters.

Nokians have a surreal balance that engenders a special kind of loyalty among those who have driven and raced on them, but ordinary performance winter tires work fine too.

235/45-18, 245/45-18 and 255/40-18 are available in the new Bridgestone LM-60. The LM-22 was decent, and the LM-60 is two generations newer, so it probably doesn't suck.
