Need help with RKR Richard Kraus Racing Tire Mounting System
I'm trying to mount some Hoosiers on 15" cookie cutters using an RKR Manual Tire Mounting System. (http://www.rogerkrausracing.com/RKR/tiremachine.shtml)
I'm told that everyone swears by these and they are the best solution for having in your race trailer (technically, my buddy's race trailer, but I'm the first one to need tires mounted, and hence the guinea pig)
The only person that we know that has one runs formula continental, and the sidewalls are so flimsy, its a cinch to mount. The Hoosiers were impossible. Two of us beat on it for two hours and couldn't get the final bead past 1/2 way.
Does anybody know of any magic tricks, or where instructions might be posted? Anything that would help us figure out the trick.
