Default Help with Spacers

What size spacers would be required, if any will work, to fit modern wheels to a 1980 911SC. I have some 17 C2s NB offset, or 18 turbo twist with 996 NB offset. I need to have my Fuchs off and left with a refinisher for a while and don't want to leave the car sitting outside in that part of town. I also have a set of D90s but no tires. That would be a real hassle.

Get out some calculators!... The 911 6 and 7 x 15 and 16s have a 23mm offset. 8x16 Fuchs have a 10-15mm offset.

"modern" wheels are closer to a 47-55mm offset. That said, you should be able to read the offset on the C2 wheels and do some math. Figure about 25-32mm "spacers" or adaptors. Now, these adaptors will run you a couple hundred dollars as well.

You might want to cross post to the "aircooled" 911 forum since I am sure some of those folks are running newer wheels on their cars.
