I would be interested to know the opinions of the "Run Flat Tires", you know the ones that get a flat and you can still drive on them.....Just curious (yellow)!

Bridgestone Turanza EL42 were stock on my '06 325i. The noise, wear, and handling are absolute crap. BMW should replace them with conventional tires before someone files a Class Action suit. But, they do work to get you home. Search Tire Rack for more info. I'am thankful Porsche did not offer them as OE on my GT3.

I had them on a C5 Corvette and changed them after 5K miles to non-run flat tires. I gladly added fix-a-flat and a tire pump to the trunk. They were harsh riding, loud, and had limited grip. I wouldn't try them again anytime soon on a sports car.

Opinions certainly vary, but as a general comment Corvette and BMW owners don't like them.
Another thing, don't buy a runflat tire unless you have a tire pressure monitoring system. Otherwise you won't know you are driving on a flat tire until you either try and turn too sharp and debead the tire, or it begins to come apart from being driven on too long.
