Exclamation Damon @ Tire Rack 997S needs track wheels/tires!

Damon I sent you an email a week ago and have not heard from you. I tried to call Tire Rack for info and the guy I talked to was totally clueless on everything. So what all that said I am posting here in hope that you all want my business.

I have a 2006 Porsche 997S Cabriolet. It came stock with:
Carrera Sport Wheels
8.5x19 55mm offset Michelin PS2 235/35/19
11.5x19 67mm offset Michelin PS2 305/30/19

I have just about used up these tires with track and autoX days and need new PS2's or considering Bridgestone RE50A's

Also I want to buy a set of 18" track tires and wheels

I am having a tough time with the Tirerack website in finding these sizes
8.5x18
11 or 11.5x18

I would like some wheels with a smaller offset number so that I can widen the track a little and bring the wheels out to the edge of the fender some. I saw some Volk TE37's on rennlist with 50mm offset for the front and 59mm offset for the rear. Will the Volks with these offsets work for me? Also any other wheels like your TRS wheels work?

Tire sizes I am considering:
Michelin Sport Cups
235/40/R18
315/30/R18
Toyo RA1
245/40/R18
305/35/R18

Seems like the Toyo or Michelin's do not come in the same sizes?

Put something together for me and let me know. I need these by September 12th.

The 18" Volk TE37 will work fine, and several folks have posted here who already have them. They are not listed under the 997S link at Tire Rack, but the offsets work, and no problem with brake clearance. If I can't find some used wheels soon, I'm going to buy the Volk also.

elh, I like the Volks too...price is nice too. I will try to call Damon at Tire Rack again tomorrow and see if I can reach him to see if any other wheels might fit.
So far Fikse is the only company to email and call me back.

I used the Hoosiers from Tire rack for both DE's and autocross. The tires I used before were Kumhos. They were a harder compound than the Hoosiers and lasted a lil longer. My GT- 3 was just delivered so I have a set of 18's factory rims I ran on a 2003 996 with great success. They are not concours but not too bad either. I do have some pics if you want.
