Default Hoosier R6's

How many heat cycles can one realistically expect to get from these tires?

I've found myself questioning whether my current set have any life left...have done 3-days of DE at VIR, 2-days of DE at Watkins Glen, 2-days of DE at Pocono, 2 race days at Pocono and 2 race days at Limerock.

I think they're shot...

Thanks,

Jason

LOL no kidding, thats alot of race time for hoosiers for sure!

Hoosier also states to heat cycle their tires once and let cure for 24h +, that it noticably increases their life span and performance.

Yeah, I did that...bought them 'heat-cycled' from Tire Rack.

That counts as one heat cycle, doesn't it?

Just kidding!

the thing is, hoosiers are one of the best DOT race tires out there right now, but really that matters only when you need to run the best times

if you are just doing DE days why not buy a set of RA1's, they are not as fast but sure last a lot longer, keep the hoosiers for when you really have to show someone who's boss.
