Default Best way to ship wheels?

I'm looking at getting some wheels from california and was wondering what is people's experience with shipping them economically. They have tires on them, so I've heard you can just fasten them together in some way and ship them like that.

What's the best method and how much would one expect it to cost? (just 15x7 phone dials)

You could tape two tires together by themselves, no rims. That's how TireRack does it - strapping tape 90 degrees apart and tape the shipping label on good.

If you care about the rims then have them wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed. Ship UPS or Greyhound. Figure $25 to $30 a wheel/tire combo.
