Default Briddgestone RE 050 0r RE750?

I need to replace my rear Bridgestone RE 730's which were discontinued and my choices are either RE 050's or RE 750's.
Any thoughts?

Depends on whether you want performance tires or all-seasons... Big difference.

Chris from Cali, not sure what you mean. The RE750s are Ultra High Performance summer tires and the RE 050s are Max Performance summer tires. Definitely don't try to all-season either of them, they won't work a damn in cold weather!

I have the RE 750s (currently off the car for winter) which came with the car when I purchased it and I've actually been very happy with them. They wear like bricks and offer very good grip for a street tire. They're quite good in the wet, even in heavy rain, even half worn-out. Good price, too.

The 750 and RE050A are both great tires and both high performance. The big difference between them is how well they grip in ultimate high performance dry cornering. The 750 is not quite as high performance as the 050 is, but both are great tires the average driver can't out-drive. In the rain, both utilize the Uni-T wet weather compound and are above average in wet grip. The 750 is directional, the 050 asymetrical, so over time the 050 will probably be a bit quieter.

I like both tires, and both perform great. I sell about equal amounts of both for Porsches and no complaints with either.

Thanks.
