Default Cayman Rim Interchangable?

We're considering purchasing a Cayman S. Will the 2002 (or thereabouts) Boxster rims we have fit?

We've owned several Porsches...
2000 Boxster (base)
2002 Boxster S
996

The Cayman will be used year-round and we will need to mount snow tires for safety sake. We already have rims and hope they fit.

Your help is appreciated!

Regards,

I don't know what diameter, widths, or offsets your 2002 Boxster S wheels have, but the OE Cayman S wheels are 8X18 and 9X18 with offsets of 57 and 43 respectively. The '05/'06 Boxster S 18" wheels have the same widths and offsets as the Cayman S, so they fit perfectly.

If your Boxster wheels are slightly narrower than 8s and 9s, they should work better in the snow with narrower snow tires than the wider 987 Boxster S and Cayman S wheels will work with their standard snow tire sizes. I think 17" rims will clear the Cayman S brake calipers, but I'm not sure.
