Default Newbie wheels questions

I'm very close to buying a 996 C2 cab with 18" carrera wheels. (I'm a BMW guy for the past 20 years and I know all about what fits and doesn't fit on M3s and M5s. I've recently sold my M5 and I'm leaving BMW for Porsche due to the styling and gadget/iDrive direction that BMW has now taken.) What is the offset and width of this optional wheel. What is the maximum width (include offsets) that I can run on stock 02 (or 03) 996 C2 Cab in 18 and 19" wheels. I know the stock tire sizes, what can I increase to with wider wheels (again, consider stock suspension).

Thanks for helping a newbie.

I'd try posting/searching in the 996 forum.

Are the wheels going to be for street or Track?
