Default 17" or 18" for 951S

Hi,

What is the better way to go and why? Everyone talks about shaving weight. My thoughts are revolving weight is the most significant and going to a 17" forged 3 piece will allow me to be liter than the 16" cups. And going to a 8" front will allow a wider contact patch; accompanied with the reduced weight should improve breaking. Any thoughts?

From: Dallas, then Annapolis - now Laguna Beach CA. Well, not so fast - I'm back in Dallas. For good!

I'll offer one piece of advice...
I went for 17's on my 951, and now I wish I'd opted for 18's. I have 18's on the 930 and they were a bit rough for everyday. So I went with the 17's. Problem is tire availability. There are very few choices if you want to go wide. So do a bit of tire shopping before choosing...
