Default 17" Boxster Rims or 18" Turbo Twist Hollow Spokes?

I am sold on the twists rims for my red 87 951. The only thing I don't know about is whether to get the twists that came in 17" from the Boxster or the 993 turbo twists 18x8 and 18x10. Since I have an 87, the offsets are correct for either, I am told.

What should I expect to pay for a used, but nice set of 17" vs a set of the 18" Hollow spokes?

How much for brand new 17's from the dealer?

They may be true, but you need to be aware of all the different sizes and offsets.

17" Boxster/Carrera Wheel:

7" x 17" - ET55
8.5" x 17" - ET50 (Boxster Rear)
9"x 17" = ET55 (Carrera Rear)

18" Turbo I or Turbo Look I Wheels:

7.5" x 18" - ET50
8" x 18" - ET52
9" x 18" - ET52 (Boxster Rear)
10" x 18" - ET65 (Carrera Rear)
10" x 18" - ET40 (993 widebody rear)

well, according to the faq, my 87 951 offsets are 52.3mm front and rear and backspacing is 153.9mm front and rear. I guess this is equivalent to ET 52?

If I went with ET65 offsets in the rear, what would that do to the look (if it even fit)? Would it extend out of the car or be too far under the car?

What is the width of your rear stock wheels?

You'd have to test fit the 65 mm 10" x 18" to be sure if they fit. The outer lip of that wheel comes 12 mm (~1/2") closer to the fenfer and the inner lip will be about 38 mm (~1-1/2") closer to the inside components.

I guess I was wondering if anyone had gathered wheel part #'s for the twists that will fit.. they seem to be among the more popular wheel upgrades for the 944/968 line.
