Question about tire fittiment on 83 SC

Default Question about tire fittiment on 83 SC
Do you guys think a 265 tire mounted on a 16 x 8" wheel (11 et) will fit on the rear of a 911SC?

The only 265x16 tire I saw when (kind of quickly) looking through Tire Rack requires an 8.5" minimum rim.

No!

I was told by an "expert" that the biggest tire you can get on the back of an SC is the 245/45/16 and not be rubbing on things.
