Default FS: 18" BBS RSII wheels

These were put on my 1994 993 cab by the previous owner...rear offset seems to be wrong for a narrow body...they should be for a turbo or widebody, but may fit other models.

They are straight but the two right side rims have curb rash. These wheels have use a polished stainless steel lip overlayed on top of the aluminum rim...unfortunately if you curb one, the strip can tear and look pretty ugly. That's the damage to these wheels...to fix them properly, new strips need to be installed. The good news is that if you curb a wheel, rather than having the it filled and repainted, you can just replace the strip. If you don't mind the cosmetics then the strips can be trimmed and you can use these for track wheels as is.

These are taking up space so if interested, make an offer...prefer local pick-up in Los Angeles (paying Rennlist members only please).

Thanks

18x8.5 and 18x10. currently out of town so don't have the specs with me. front ones though are standard 993 offset so should be around ET50 or so. rears ones are turbo fitment so I think should be around ET45 or ET50. I can give you further info if you are interested...PM or email me.

Thanks,
David

My older BBS records show this:

8.5" x 18" - ET45
10" x 18" - ET50

The application chart says the rears will work on a narrow body 993 with some modification such as fender rolling.

Thanks for the info Viken.

The rears do look like they could fit on a narrow body if the fenders are rolled and if a 265 tire is used...I doubt a 285 will fit. When I had it on my white cab the offset looked like it was partway between a widebody and a narrowbody offset.

To anyone who is interested, I will verify the offsets and post pics of the damaged lip when I return to LA. I'm currently in Vegas but should be back late Mon or Tuesday. Thanks.

I now have pics but am having a problem locating 3 of the 4 center wheel caps. I know they are somewhere in the garage so until I locate them, I may hold off on selling the wheels (unless someone is ok w/ buying them w/o the caps).

FYI, the BBS RSII are two-piece wheels (cast center/forged rolled rim) with titanium fasteners and a hidden valve stem. They weigh approx 24.0lbs and 25.4lbs front and rear; and as noted earlier they have a polish stainless steel "rim protector" around the outer edge. The wheels I have are 18x8.5 ET45 for the front, and 18x10 ET50 for the rear...retail on these wheels were $950 and $1040, so nearly $4000 for the set.

The strips can be replaced by BBS for approx $250, or perhaps less by a specialty wheel shop. The other option would be to replace DIY or get rid of the strip all-together and polish the lip. The wheels are otherwish straight and in good condition...no other curb rashes.

Here is a pic of these wheels on a silver 993TT (car belongs to a Rennlister)
