718 Cayman S: Best 18" Endurance Track Tire for Stock Suspension (40-Sidewall Goal)
Hi everyone,
I’m taking my 2019 718 Cayman S to its first track day next month and I’m trying to solve the longevity puzzle before I burn through a set of tires in a weekend or two.
I’ve just picked up a set of Apex SM-10s:
The Goal: I am staying on the stock suspension (non-PASM) for now to baseline the car. My goal is to find an endurance-focused tire that can survive 4–8 weekend events (8–16 track days). I know that’s a big ask without camber plates (which are on the future mod list), but I want to see what's possible for a "seat time over pace" season.
I’ll be driving the car to/from the track (~2-3 hours each way).
Thoughts on these options:
Thanks!

Thoughts on these options:
- Yokohama AD09: Does that reinforced sidewall actually help with shoulder wear on stock camber? How is longevity?
- Goodyear Supercar 3: I've heard these are the best dual-duty choice, but can they actually hit 8-10+ days?
- Hankook R-S4: Are these even findable in 275/40 anymore?
Thanks!
