Default Boxster S - tire upsizing question...

I have a '00 S w/ standard suspension & the 18" Turbo wheels (18x7.5 front & 18x9 rear).

I need to replace the tires and was considering "upsizing". Basically going from 225/40ZR18 to 235/40ZR18 front and from 265/35ZR18 to 275/35ZR18 rear. Anyone done this? Did it work out OK?

Clearance wise it looks like I have plenty of room from the outside, but I'm not as sure about the inside (to the suspension bits).

One potential issue is that an 8" minimum rim width is recommended for the 235/40ZR18 width tire. Is this a big deal?

Thanks for any help/advice you can offer...
