Appx. how many auto-x events do you get per set of R compound tires? (Hoosiers, Kuhmo, Yoks, -including Azenis etc.). Just thinking ahead for next season if I decide to make the switch.

With Toyo RA1's I did a dozen DE's and upwards of 18 auto-X's. Driving to and from events about 7k miles. When I changed them, they still had good rubber on them but I need something more streatable and I didn't have another set of rims to work with. It worked out to be a year and a half.

That's a lot more than I would have expected. Even w/ the rubber left, were they getting hard?

They were not bad, I would have liked to keep them a bit longer. It has been over half a year since the swap so I forget exactly what they were like. They may have been getting harder but were still softer than a street tire.

At the AutoX, in afternoon runs, if I started out with the pressure too high they would get greasy part way through the run and it was over. But it was like a skin effect, the tire didn't go up much in pressure or feel exceptionally warm at the end. Drop the pressures and they would stick fine the next one.
