The wreck was actually in a rental car when I tried to head back to L.A. to fix my car. At the time I thought that it was only a headgasket, so I figured I'd be back in a day or two. Then I rear-ended a lady on the freeway because I was dozing off. The rental was totalled. And the insurance mess is still lingering. She's complaining of sore neck and back and the insurance agent said that they have a cap on what kind of treatments and how much they'll pay out...
So after a week of insurance calls and paperwork, I finally head back down to LA and find that the engine was toast. Luckily, Frank had a low-mile '86 short-block from a 944NA automatic that was in great shape. So we completely rebuilt it with new seals from top to bottom. Took about 45-hours for two people to pull an engine and rebuild and install another one. Faster than my last engine-job only a couple months ago; assembling a short-block and installing it in the car took me about 81-hours.
After that, I was tired, so I bumped a curb going around a corner when testing the new engine. That took out the right-rear wheel. And earlier during the OTC, I had a little kiss with the wall at Buttonwillow that bent the left-rear wheel. So... I figured I'd replace both outer halves and have some new wheels! But so far, I haven't gotten any emails or phone calls back from Bob Woodman Tires yet; and I had original bough the wheels from them too!
Any other sources of BBS rim halves? Perhaps I should call up BBS Motorsports headquarters and see if they have other distributors?

I did a Google search and found this place. On the site it says they have many halves. http://www.downingatlanta.com/da_forsale_new.htm
Sorry to hear about all the bad luck your having. It has to turn around soon right?

You could also try The Racers Group in Sonoma. Before they updated their site, they had a list of used parts that included BBS wheel halves. They sell new BBS wheels too.

Danno,
I called Bob Woodman this morning about tires. They are away racing in the northeast until the end of June. But what size BBS wheel halves are you looking for? I'm breaking up some BBS wheels to replace centers and will have a few spare halves.

Jim, I've got 17x12" wheels (outside width) that uses 9.5" inners and 2.5" outers. I was thinking if I can mix & match with someone who have extra halves, I'd like to rebuild them with more backspacing to move the wheel inwards. So 10.0" inners and 2.0" outers would be perfect. Otherwise, I can just buy two 2.5" outers for now.
Thanks -danno

Danno,
My wheels are 17x (I think)11.5's. I was running Hoosier 315/35/17's. I would have available 2 outers and one inner. The other inner was damaged. I'll measure the halves tonight and get back to you.

Id be interested in some 2.5's or some 5.5's. Inner/Outer doesn't matter to me, just weld up the valve hole or drill one.
Just throwing this out here in case you guys are going to break some up and have leftovers.
